Well one thing we wanted to do this summer was put in a fence, so when that didn't work out we decided to get a shed to get some of our crap...err I mean stuff...out of the garage. This is a Craftsman 8x4 foot resin shed. A little smaller than I wanted, but since we don't have a big back yard it works out ok. As you can see, I've already put some of the aforementioned crap in there. It was hard work but rewarding. Got to be outside with my son Ryan and my grand-kids for awhile. Overall a good start to Memorial Day weekend!
Speaking of Memorial Day...please fly your flag Monday and take a moment or two to remember those who have given their lives in support of our great nation!

First of many
"We've heard that before."
But this time will be different!
"We've heard that before, too. What makes this blog any different?"
I'm glad you asked.
I'm starting anew. New Google profile, new email, new outlook on life, new priorities in life...
Ok, so maybe the order of those should be rearranged, but you get the idea.
So why a new start? Easy.
Some recent events in my life and in the lives of some friends and family members have changed the way I look at myself, my family, the world, and how we are constantly moving so fast that we forget to stop and slow down and enjoy the things we have...because quite honestly you never know when you won't have those things any longer.
I'm getting older. My kids are getting older. I'm a grandparent, father, husband, brother, son, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and I need to make sure that I can be all of those and more to all the people who mean the most to me.
It was time to slow down. Time to stop worrying about trying to beat the guy sitting next to me at the stop light (more on that later). Time to stop wanting the next new gadget (more on that later too). Time to enjoy my family. Time to enjoy what the world has to offer and remember that it was through God our Heavenly Father that I have all of this and to thank Him each and every day for the blessings I have been given. It has become so easy to forget to do that.
Hopefully through these posts you will be able to tell and see how I have changed, what matters more to me now, and where my priorities and interests lie.
Maybe through these posts, I will learn a bit more about myself as well.
So this time it will be different. I promise.
